Things open.
Things close.
I’ve been quietly observing this pattern lately.
Doors I thought would stay open are closing.
Things I thought were permanent are shifting.
New opportunities are appearing where I least expect them.
And for the first time in a long time, I don’t feel the need to force any of it.
I simply want things to fall into their proper place.
That is what my heart has been feeling lately.
The more I observe life, the more I realize that the person trying to emerge from this season cannot be halted.
Something is changing.
Something is being rebuilt.
Something is growing.
And whether I fully understand it or not, the process continues.
I feel myself being shaped.
Remolded.
Made new.
There has been a tremendous amount of pruning lately.
Both internally and externally.
Old assumptions.
Old attachments.
Old expectations.
Some of them have quietly fallen away.
Others have been removed more forcefully.
And despite the discomfort of it all, I can honestly say that things are good.
Not easy.
Not always understandable.
But good.
There are still many things I cannot explain.
Yet I feel at peace with them.
Right now, what I find myself asking for is strength.
Physical strength.
Mental strength.
Spiritual strength.
The ability to sustain the life that is unfolding before me.
The ability to become the type of man capable of carrying greater responsibility and greater opportunity.
But lately, another thought keeps appearing.
What if my own desires are too small?
What if the life I have been trying to build is only a fraction of what God intends for me?
That possibility has made me less attached to forcing my own plans.
Less attached to controlling outcomes.
And more willing to follow where life seems to be leading.
So instead of insisting on my own way, I find myself paying closer attention to what is being placed before me.
One step at a time.
One season at a time.
Even physically, I can feel change happening.
My body feels heavier lately.
The combination of hard training and heavy eating is finally catching up to me.
Part of it is growth.
Part of it is adaptation.
My body feels stronger, denser, more capable.
But it also reminds me that growth always comes with adjustment.
There is no expansion without some form of discomfort.
Perhaps that applies to more than just the body.
Lately, I’ve also been reflecting on my relationships.
As I continue moving forward, I sometimes feel tension from people around me.
Not necessarily because they wish me harm.
But because growth changes things.
Growth changes dynamics.
Growth changes expectations.
Growth creates movement.
And movement can be uncomfortable for people who are used to who you used to be.
Instead of resisting that tension, I hope to approach it differently.
Not by allowing myself to be diminished.
And not by trying to drag anyone forward.
But by becoming an upward pull.
By growing in a way that inspires growth.
By becoming a source of elevation rather than resistance.
Because ultimately, I don’t want to spend my life fighting people.
I want to spend my life becoming.
And perhaps that is what this entire season has been teaching me.
Not how to force.
Not how to control.
Not how to preserve.
But how to trust.
Trust the pruning.
Trust the process.
Trust the person that is slowly emerging from all of this.
And trust that God knows exactly what He is doing.
