I feel tired.

Heavy.

Not in the kind of way that comes from being sick.

Just… heavy.

It doesn’t feel like my body at all.

My mind too.

I’ve been training hard these past few weeks.

Lifting heavier.

Eating more.

Building strength.

Learning deeply.

And maybe that’s part of it.

My body has become stronger.

My mind too.

But they’ve also become heavier.

My head has been pulsating lately.

The kind of headache that quietly follows you throughout the day.

Especially when I finally slow down.

Not enough to stop me.

Just enough to remind me that something is asking to be noticed.

Oddly enough, while my body feels this way, my life is moving in the opposite direction.

I’m producing more.

Creating more.

Building more.

More writing.

More baking.

More conversations.

More responsibilities.

More people.

More life.

So I find myself asking …

What is happening here?

Why does so much beauty seem to arrive alongside so much discomfort?

Is this the price of growth?

Or simply what growth feels like from the inside?

I don’t know.

I only know that lately, my body has been asking for gentleness.

For relief.

For stillness.

For the dark aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

For that familiar warmth that settles my stomach …

… and somehow settles my soul too.

Almost as if my body isn’t asking me to stop.

It’s asking me to recalibrate.

Sometimes growth doesn’t ask us to push harder.
Sometimes it asks us to recover deeper.

I’ve also noticed something else.

Lately I’ve become more present with people.

Before, I naturally gravitated toward solitude.

Now, life keeps inviting me outward.

Giving my attention.

Giving my time.

Giving my strength.

And while I genuinely love being of service, somewhere along the way my body quietly asked for a refill.

Even a full cup eventually empties.

Not because it’s weak.

Because that’s what it was made to do.

And for it to keep pouring…

It must also be filled again.

Not because it’s selfish.

But because that’s what makes giving sustainable.

I was reminded that I was never meant to be the source.

Only the channel.

A pipe cannot give water unless it remains connected to where the water comes from.

Perhaps that’s what my body has been teaching me all along.

To return.

To reconnect.

To keep drawing from the Source instead of relying on my own finite strength.

The moment that thought landed, something inside me softened.

The heaviness didn’t completely disappear.

But it became lighter to carry.

And perhaps that’s enough for today.

Tomorrow, I’ll continue building.

But tonight…

I’ll simply receive.

Peace.

Calm.

Relief.

The cup was never meant to stay full.

Nor was it meant to stay empty.

It was always meant to do both.
