Life has no longer been about forcing my way through things.

That has been the repeated lesson of the past few days.

As I move forward into what feels like a different timeline of my life, I notice that my relationship with control is changing.

I no longer feel the need to keep everything exactly as it is.

It’s not that I don’t want peace.

I still do.

It’s not that I don’t have dreams.

I still do.

It’s simply that I am becoming more willing to follow where life is leading instead of insisting that life follow me.

I have my own plans.

My own desires.

My own vision for how things should unfold.

But if God has something different in mind, I find myself becoming more willing to let go.

If things fall apart, I let them.

If things arrive, I welcome them.

Not passively.

Not carelessly.

But with the understanding that I am not the one ultimately in control.

God is.

Life feels much bigger than I once imagined.

The more I live, the more I realize that I am only scratching the surface of what is possible.

And I think that possibility expands the closer I remain to the Source.

This is my faith speaking.

In practical terms, this is how I have been approaching life lately.

Like a hunter gathering opportunities as they appear.

Not forcing the hunt.

Not creating the path.

Simply paying attention.

Observing what is placed before me.

And responding accordingly.

Step 1: See the Opportunity

For most of my life, I have been intensely focused on my plans.

My goals.

My desires.

My timeline.

And while there is value in having direction, I have noticed something.

When I become too focused on what I want, I become blind to what is available.

Everything outside my plans becomes blurry.

Opportunities pass unnoticed.

People pass unnoticed.

New paths pass unnoticed.

But lately, as I loosen my grip on my expectations, opportunities seem to appear everywhere.

Conversations.

Introductions.

Ideas.

Circumstances.

Things I would have never considered before.

Things that could potentially lead me somewhere I never intended to go.

And strangely, this approach has been working in my favor.

Step 2: Recognize Who Sent It

This is where faith enters the equation.

I don’t see opportunities as random anymore.

Nor do I see them as evidence of my own brilliance.

I don’t think I discovered them through my strength alone.

Instead, I see them as invitations.

Signals.

A form of communication.

A circumstance placed before me for a reason.

I am not saying every opportunity should be pursued.

Discernment still matters.

But I am beginning to see life differently.

Not as a series of accidents.

But as a series of invitations.

And my responsibility is simply to pay attention.

Step 3: Respond to the Call

Seeing is not enough.

Recognizing is not enough.

At some point, action is required.

A door can be opened, but I still have to walk through it.

An opportunity can appear, but I still have to respond.

This is where faith and action meet.

One step.

Then another.

Then another.

And before long, a path begins to reveal itself.

A path I never could have planned from the beginning.

A path that only becomes visible because I was willing to move.

That is where I find myself right now.

Not forcing.

Not controlling.

Not desperately trying to preserve what was.

Simply observing.

Listening.

Responding.

And trusting that the One who placed the opportunity there knows exactly where it leads.

I don’t need to see the entire path.

I only need enough light for the next step.
