Lately, life has felt completely out of control.

Out of expectation.

Out of alignment with the plans I originally had for myself.

I knew change was coming in some form.

I could feel it.

But the timing and intensity of how it arrived still caught me off guard.

And if I’m being honest, it hasn’t been fun.

I’m someone who likes structure.

I like knowing where things are going.

I like having a map.

Right now, it feels like the map has been taken away.

And I’m being asked to walk anyway.

So as things continue to rebuild, rearrange, and occasionally fall apart, these are the actions I’m taking.

Not because I have everything figured out.

But because they are the only things that seem to make sense.

1. Accept the New Structure

This is by far the hardest part.

Because I don’t fully understand where life is taking me right now.

It genuinely feels like I am walking in the dark.

I don’t know why certain things are happening.

I don’t know why certain doors are closing.

I don’t know why certain tensions keep appearing.

And perhaps most uncomfortable of all —

I don’t feel in control.

For someone who likes planning and organization, that is a painful place to be.

But lately, I’ve started asking myself:

What’s the point of fighting something that keeps insisting on being born?

I’m not talking about giving up.

I’m talking about acceptance.

Accepting that a new chapter may be emerging.

Accepting that the cadence of my life is changing.

Accepting that the rules of the game may no longer be the same.

The closest analogy I can think of is how the characters develop in Ragnarok Online.

It’s like I changed jobs and advanced to a higher class.

Everything resets.

The skills are different.

The environment is unfamiliar.

But somehow the level is higher.

The playing field is wider.

And now I have to learn how to play again.

2. Learn to Sit With Discomfort

My God.

The discomfort.

It’s painful.

Far more painful than I expected.

I thought I was already pushing myself.

Already growing.

Already becoming better.

But apparently there are still things life wants me to release.

Things I don’t want to release.

Things I genuinely love.

Things I thought would stay.

And what makes it harder is that I still don’t fully understand what they’re being exchanged for.

It feels like being asked to let go of a toy you’ve cherished your entire life without being shown what comes next.

And yet, what else can I do?

So I sit with it.

The confusion.

The grief.

The frustration.

The uncertainty.

I sit with all of it.

And despite how uncomfortable it feels, there remains a quiet sense within me that this is somehow for my good.

I can’t explain it.

But I feel it.

3. Purge Old Ways, Water New Seeds

This part feels almost automatic.

As new circumstances enter my life, old ways of thinking are being challenged at their roots.

Old systems.

Old assumptions.

Old identities.

Old ambitions.

Some of them are quietly dissolving without even asking for my permission.

And strangely, I don’t think this is destruction.

I think it’s pruning.

Because alongside everything that is being removed, something else is trying to emerge.

A new identity.

A new way of living.

A new relationship with life itself.

And while I don’t fully like all of it yet, I am trying to water those new seeds anyway.

I am trying to trust the process.

Trying to trust the destabilization.

Trying to trust that whatever is being born from all of this is wiser than what came before.

So I will continue observing.

Continue experimenting.

Continue following the trail.

Even when I don’t understand where it leads.

Because perhaps growth isn’t always about building.

Sometimes growth begins with dismantling.

And perhaps that is where I find myself now.

Somewhere between the life that was and the life that is trying to emerge.

So yeah.

This is life lately.

See you on the other side.
