It’s been some time since I last wrote.
A lot has happened.
A lot.
I just want to put some of it down here so my future self can look back and remember where I was in this particular season of life.
First, my physical body.
I’ve been growing heavier and more tired as the days pass.
Part of it, I know, comes down to how I’ve been eating. I’ve been indulging more than I should, and I know what I need to do to get myself back on track.
The hard part isn’t knowing.
It’s doing.
Resisting the small temptations, day after day, until the choices I want to make become the choices I naturally make again.
That’s something I’m still working on.
Second, my relationship.
There was a point where I genuinely thought my girlfriend and I were going to break up.
There had been too many internal battles.
Too many fights.
Too much stress.
Too much emotional weight.
But somehow, we made it through.
Things are stable now.
And honestly, thank God.
I’m grateful that we survived that season and that we’re still here, still figuring things out together.
Third, the clinic.
The clinic is actually doing great.
But getting here came with some changes.
I lost a great physiotherapist from the team as she entered a new phase in her life. There have also been changes in leadership and in the dynamics of the team.
And surprisingly, things have been going really well.
The direction feels good.
The team is in great shape.
Morale is high.
And there’s a different kind of strength in the group now as we push toward our goals and aspirations.
It’s funny.
Sometimes, in order to fly higher, you have to let go.
I’ve spent so much of my life trying to preserve things—to hold things together, keep things stable, protect what I’ve built.
But maybe not everything is meant to be held forever.
Some things have to be released for something stronger to emerge.
And right now, I’m seeing that happen with the clinic.
The team feels stronger.
The people feel more empowered.
And I feel more capable of moving forward without having to hold every single thread myself.
Fourth, my family.
There have been ups and downs, particularly when it comes to health.
Some of our close relatives have been dealing with illnesses, and naturally, that brings some worry.
But overall, we’re at peace.
I’m learning that sometimes the best thing we can do for family is simply to be there—to support, to help, to lift each other up when things get heavy.
And there was one part of this week that touched me deeply.
It was my dad’s birthday.
He passed away eight years ago.
And somehow, this particular week brought something unexpected with it.
I was able to reconnect with siblings I had been separated from for a long time.
That experience softened something in me.
It made me cry.
And it made me realize how much life can reconnect things that we thought were already gone.
I don’t know how to explain it.
Maybe coincidence.
Maybe timing.
Maybe something more.
But I felt grateful.
It felt like a little gift.
Like life was quietly reminding me that some things can find their way back to us when we’re finally ready to receive them.
And then there’s ceramics.
Probably the most exciting part.
I applied for a ceramic course and somehow got admitted.
For the next three months, I’ll be immersed in learning from great potters.
Three months of clay.
Mess.
Practice.
Failure.
Learning.
And hopefully, a lot of happiness.
And as a bonus, I finally have my own wheel.
It’s funny because this part of my identity that I’m building has become quite expensive.
But I suppose nothing is really cheap anymore.
Especially here in the Philippines.
Still, I don’t regret it.
There’s something deeply satisfying about investing in a part of myself that I didn’t even know existed a few years ago.
I’m building something here.
Not just pottery.
A new dimension of myself.
And maybe that’s why my head feels so full lately.
So many things are happening at once.
My body.
My relationship.
My clinic.
My family.
My pottery.
My dreams.
My future.
My heart feels full.
My mind feels full.
And maybe I don’t need to solve everything right now.
Maybe I just needed somewhere to put it all down.
So here it is.
A small record of where I am today.
I’m still figuring things out.
Still building.
Still learning.
Still becoming.
And now that some of the noise is finally outside of my head and on this page, I feel like I have a little more space again.
Space to breathe.
Space to think.
Space to move forward.
There are still so many things ahead of me.
And I’m ready to see what comes next.
